Over The Great Salt Lake

My roundabout route back to Columbus this morning takes me to Salt Lake City, the first leg of a three-flight, four-airport trip. Multiple-layover trips suck by definition, and I’ve already encountered delays and rerouting — but at least I had a chance to check out the Great Salt Lake on our approach to SLC.

From a 10,000-foot level, it’s impressively large — and judging from the alkaline surroundings, I’m guessing it’s impressively salty, too.
