The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was today, in downtown Columbus. It was a cold and blustery morning — again — but that didn’t stop the folks who are seeking to raise awareness of breast cancer and recognize their friends and relatives who have suffered and died from that disease. I passed hundreds of energetic, pink-ribboned walkers and runners and supporters on my way to the office this morning.
When I left hours later everyone was gone. You know the race is really over when there’s only the Rent-A-Johns left to retrieve.
